Abstract

The goal of the lecture is to share with you my investigations, which has been done to investigate the occurrence of enamel demineralization using different orthodontic brackets materials and adhesive systems as well as to discuss some new methods that could minimize the WSLs in orthodontic patients. 

About the speaker

Dr Naif Almosa, KSA
Dr. Almosa accomplished a combined program of postgraduate orthodontic education and PhD degree at Odontologen, Sahlgrenska Academy, Göteborg, Sweden. He graduated in July 2012 with a Certificate in Orthodontics and completed his PhD degree in the field of Orthodontics and Cariology on May 2014. Following his graduation, Dr. Almosa joined the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at the College of Dentistry, King Saud University, where he currently serves as a full-time faculty in the Orthodontic Division. At the College, he is involved in teaching both undergraduate, postgraduate students and in research. In 2014, he was appointed as Director of Internship Program in addition to his fulltime academic appointment. His 2-year term as the Program Director has been extended until July 2017. Then, Dr. Almosa was appointed as chairman of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics department from 2017 for two years. Currently, Dr. Almosa is Associate Professor at department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, and reviewer for several respected Orthodontics Journals.
