Abstract

Think of the 1st ever crown you made. It probably took at least 1.5 hours. You might have taken the impression 3 times. You might have worked with the school lab and ended up sending the case back to the lab due to an open margin. This is all considered ok in a dental school setting, but it is a sure failure in private practice. In private practice you want the restoration to fit from the first trial, to be in as fast as possible, and to function for as long as possible. Hence, this talk will highlight the techniques and tools and materials to improve both precision and efficiency in tooth preparation, impression, and cementation.
