Abstract

Decreasing aerosol leaks are of great interest, especially in the recent era of COVID-19. There are several techniques, equipment and also guidelines on how to increase dental treatment’s and personnel’s safety. The lecture summarizes the most important knowledge about personal protective equipment (PPE), the aerosol eliminating strategies and introduces a special fine mist aerosol decreasing restorative cavity preparation method based on the lecturer’s published in vitroresearch.

Asst Prof József Szalma, Hungary
Associated Professor József Szalma graduated (DMD) in 2001 in University of Pécs (Hungary) and had got specialization later in oral surgery (2006) and in oral implantology (2019). In 2011 he earned a Ph.D. degree: “The role of panoramic radiography in the prediction of inferior alveolar nerve injury after mandibular third molar surgical removal” from the University of Pécs. Dr. Szalma is editor of the Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery and the BioMed Research International journals and a regular reviewer of more than twenty WoS indexed journals...
