Abstract

Primary teeth with extensive caries always pose a very challenging problem. Most of the times involve the management of pulp involvement, the decision regarding the restoration of the tooth and in the background we should always have in mind the age of the patient. The course is designed to give information on the principles of the pulp management of primary teeth with pulp involvement, indications for the treatment and the use of contemporary materials. Then, the course will discuss the use of aesthetic zirconia crowns for the restoration of the anterior and stainless steel crowns for the posterior teeth. The course will also provide a “hands-on” section that will improve the skills, knowledge, and confidence of the participant in the use of new types of MTA material for pulp treatment and both crowns...

Berdouses received his Dental Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dental School, his Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry and Master’s in Oral Biology from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA and his PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dental School.  He has worked as a research fellow at the Brookhaven Laboratories in New York.  He works in Athens at his private practice limited to Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics and in private practice in Dubai, UAE...
