Abstract

In the last 2 decades since miniscrews have entered the mainstream orthodontic practice, there have been many publications regarding the position and site of miniscrew placement to achieve optimal treatment outcomes. This presentation is a review of all the latest evidence as to which factors have the greatest impact on TADs success and how to avoid the pitfalls.

Dr Abdelhakim El Gheriani, UAE
Dr. El-Gheriani completed his postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Colorado, USA in 2006 after earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Pittsburgh, USA in 2002. He also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh, Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Benghazi University, and a Master of Science in Dental Medicine (MSD) from the University of Colorado. Dr. El-Gheriani is a certified Diplomate in the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
