Abstract

Piezosurgery technology has become over and over a must-have for the surgeon who wants to perform a safe, clean and high-quality procedure in most of the field of dentistry. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this new technology in different field of dentistry such as apicoectomy sinus lifting, crown lengthening and implantology trying to highlight which procedures benefit the most from the use of piezoelectric surgery.

Dr Martini graduated with honours from the University of Ancona, Italy. Later received his Masters in Oral Implantology from the University of Rome. Dr Maurizio Martini attended various courses to further develop his knowledge of oral and implant surgery, prosthetics and periodontology.
